Let’s be real… 2020 has been an absolute nightmare. But, I’m not here to talk about face masks, and distancing; just to accept this moment, and accept where I am in all of this misery and pain.
Luckily, Covid didn’t stop everything this year, we got a puppy, and i was still able to attend my teacher training with the YMCA. Thankfully I was able sit my assignment in November to become a fully qualified Yoga instructor! This is super exited as you can imagine, however it hasn’t exactly been a walk in the park, and other aspects of my life have unfortunately been neglected in order to meet deadlines etc.
The one thing training and lockdown has taking its toll on most is my social life, which means I trade my personal practice to see family and friends at any opportunity I had. I didn’t quite realise how much of an office job yoga would be, not even mentioning the endless essays and journaling! Let me know if you’d like a full post on my experience with teacher training! So I ended up spending half my time out, or in the flat at a desk, my body felt this massively. But now, its time for personal practice to become a priority again.
Staying at home most of time, as I’m sure for most people, means the flat is constantly a mess, I find myself cleaning the same thing every single day and yet I’m getting no where! Im sure I’m not the only one, but the stress here has definitely increased… Bring on 2021 is all I can say!
I’m just here to remind you all, its not about the result or how it looks… But how you feel on the journey there 💓
The year may have been a tough one, but I cant deny its also brought me so many new opportunities, incredible moments and ive met so many inspirational people along the way! Thats a positive, and im going to try my best to hold onto this positivity and hope for next year (thanks to the incredible recent news of a vaccine in the uk) to get me through these last weeks!
Love & best wishes to all,
